Photoshoot time again!

This is my final piece for my fashion project, a japanese inspired dress. I was very influenced by the mix of sheer and opaque fabrics that had been all over the runway last season, but sewing with organza was hell so definitely would choose a sheer fabric that doesn't fray as much and has stretch in the future! I embroided fan shapes onto the collar to add a subtle pop of colour to the sheer and to incorporate Japanese imagery.

These shots were for my portfolio for uni interviews, I got accepted by Westminster, Ravensbourne and Brighton! I think I'll be accepting Brighton as I love it there, as you can tell by a previous post about Brighton :)

Inspiration

Inspiration for fabric colour, shape and posture.

This is the kind of effect I wanted on the photographs, which was brilliantly achieved by Jodie.

Julia is currently a fashion blogger, model and writer. She started blogging when she was sixteen, she caught attention from fashion editors at Paper's, Julia became a columnist for 'papers' whilst still in high school! During fashion week in 2008 she was noticed for her distinctive style, and this is when her popularity grew. This is what I love about her, her style, but she is a beautiful model!

Really nice mix of prints at Lulu Frost's Spring/Summer 2012 presentation.

This is an older photo of her, but its just showing the oversized jumper trend with a statement shoe. Something that is still one of the trends right now.

Love this oversized blazer coat, I have a coat like this but its not as long, wish it was!

Vena Cava's Spring/Summer 2010 show, Really am loving this statement coat and the socks!

Worn for the opening of a Stella Mccartney shop in Paris, Feb 2011
The photo is from an interview with Julia on:

How cute is she! Her style is just timeless, this white outfit above could be worn yesterday. These photos are from 2010-2012, I choose a few favourites but there are lots more on her website and street style blogs.

My favourite collection from Jason Wu.

An illustration I did for Jason Wu's S/S 12 collection last year. I featured him as one of my favourites from the S/S 12 shows and I still regard this show as one of my favourites. I loved Emma Watson in her Jason Wu, She wore the second in on the left. I drew this as a present for my sister as she adores him. :)

At this time I wasn't very good at faces and hair so I kinda just drew them really quick, putting all my attention on the outfits!

All the images were drawn from Vogue.com runway images.

Emma Watson opted for a body con black skirt, put I prefer it with the matching shorts as its a new take on a matching suit trend, like tuxedos/suits, without being to obvious by doing a traditional suit he choose a fitted bodice with a peplum waist detail (which is popular on jackets) and short shorts! I wish i designed it!
